An opportunity for every person to take purposeful and inspiring action for nature!
Festival of Nature 2022 kicks off with Action for Nature Day on Friday 10 June. Join together with individuals, schools, community groups, organisations and businesses across Bristol and Bath in taking on activities and opportunities that will help nature’s recovery.
From planting and wildlife recording to green space volunteering and campaign support, Action Day will combine citizen science with fun, green space activities – an opportunity for every person to take purposeful and inspiring action for nature.

To celebrate the actions you take for nature, and to help you find some new ways to help, Festival of Nature are sending out 500 Actions Packs to residents of the South West!
Join an Actions Day event
Join an event or activity to take action for nature on Friday 10th June.

Generous nature: learn how to take cuttings and root them
Join one of four drop in sessions between 10am - 4pm | Dove Gardens, Community Garden, Kingsdown.
Learn real-life budget-friendly, nature inspired gardening tricks to grow your own garden in your own space from Dove Garden Gardeners.

Celebrate nature in Newtown with the Big Tidy team!
2pm – 4:30pm | Newtown Estate, Hayes Close, BS2 0AR
To show off Newtown’s newly planted flowerbeds, we’re holding a community day where you can find out how to bring the sparkle back to Bristol. Take part in a litter pick, learn more about local wildlife and plants in our treasure hunt, and discover what you can do to help us clean up your area.

West of England Metro Mayor Dan Norris has launched the region’s first Bee Bold Awards to celebrate organisations that are taking action to support bees and pollinators.
We are working together to increase the number of bees and pollinators in the region and make the West of England the Pollinator Capital of the UK. This will help to tackle the ecological crisis within the region.

Flourshing in St Paul's Community Action Day
9:30am - 6pm | 4 Locations across across St Paul's, Bristol!
Join the Flourishing in St Paul team to help them take Action for Nature in the community. Help the friendly team with litter picking, weeding, clearing areas, making wood plant boxes, as well as helping to tidy up the Malcolm X Secret Garden.
Just drop-in to one of the 4 locations or email Judith_v_davies@hotmail.com for more info. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, and bring some gardening gloves if you have them.
All participants on the day will receive an invite to Windrush Tea Party on the 27th of June.
