Nature Poetry: 12.10pm
Discover the magic of the Festival of Nature riverside poetry trail with readings from local poets Holly Corfield Carr, Carrie Etter, Andrew F Giles, Tania Hershman and Jack Thacker. The poets will be reading poems which were written in response to sites along the River Avon between Bristol and Bath and are now displayed on boards on those sites. Forest of Imagination workshop: 1pm
Get crafting with the magical Forest of Imagination team and join in practical activities around conservation and the environment. Create a miniature forest in a pot to take home or contribute to a communal forest drawing.
Science Stand-Up and the Buskineers: 2pm
Two teams will be answering questions about science in ways you have never seen before. Expect plenty of laughs and audience participation and to learn more than you would from a series of lectures. Science Stand-Up is an evening of science fuelled fun, with postgraduate students and researchers performing about their research or other fascinating scientific facts, while the Buskineers bring engineering research to the streets of Bristol and Bath with performance and song.
How Science can Save Sharks: 3pm
A hands-on talk about the mysterious world of sharks from the Shark Trust.
Wildlife illustration workshop: 4pm
Discover your inner artist with local illustrator Katharina Nyilas, who created the Spirit of the Avon design which features on the Festival of Nature poetry trail boards.
