THE CANOPY (working title)

Our team at The Natural History Consortium is thrilled to announce we have been awarded the first headline cultural project commission for 2022/23 from Bristol City Council’s The City Centre and High Streets Economic Recovery Culture and Events Programme.

Our programme, with its working title The Canopy, will create a canopy installation in Broadmead in late August 2022, inspired by and celebrating trees, creating an immersive experience with striking visuals, sounds, smells and activities. We will be working with all of our Consortium partners, and other national partners creating innovative practice in engaging people with the challenges facing trees and woodlands.

There will be opportunities for family audiences to get involved in the first stages of the creative project at our Festival of Nature Family Nature Party on June 12th, and we’ll be announcing more about the overall programme during Festival of Nature.

Please direct any queries to Savita Willmott, Chief Executive of The Natural History Consortium, at savita@bnhc.org.uk

The Canopy (working title) is being delivered as one of the activities under the City Centre and High Streets Recovery and Renewal programme, funded by Bristol City Council and the West of England Combined Authority’s Love our High Street project.
