We can’t believe 2019 is almost over already! As the new decade swings into view we wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to all our amazing partners, volunteers, exhibitors, delegates, participants and everyone else for making the very most of all our programmes in 2019!
It’s a been a huge year at NHC towers, so here’s a breakdown in numbers…
- 40,000 visitors to Festival of Nature
- 31,131 Actions for Nature recorded at Festival of Nature
- 22,981 people are more aware of what they can do to help Nature
- 15,360 observations were made for City Nature Challenge
- 1,484 different species were recorded during City Nature Challenge
- 1,000 residents took part in City Nature Challenge
- 191 delegates and speakers at Communicate 2019: Riding Waves, Changing Worlds
- 151 people trained in biological recording during Skills for Wildlife
- 150 people used the worlds first digital environmental festival
- 101 amazing volunteers helped across all Natural History Consortium programmes
- 59 organisations took part in Festival of Nature
- 50 BioBlitz events registered through the NHC BioBlitz calendar
- 21 sessions at Communicate 2019
- 18 Schools downloaded City Nature Challenge resources
- 11 events in the Festival of Nature programme
- Retained 1st in Europe for most observations during City Nature Challenge, and organised the first Digital Science festival!
