We have news this morning of an extremely rare monkey spotted among the foliage on Bristol’s Brandon Hill. The monkey has been identified as a Rhesus inflatus, a type never before seen in the wild and believed to be unique.
Our wildlife photographer captured a few images of the rare primate, pictured below. The monkey, which would not thrive outdoors, was later returned to his usual office – based habitat and said:
“I had been feeling somewhat deflated recently and just really needed to get back in touch with the natural world.”
