In its centenary year, the Forestry Commission has joined The Natural History Consortium, our major natural history partnership specialising in communications and engaging the public with the biggest issues facing the natural world. The charity, operating since 2003, now brings together 13 regional and national organisations to work together on major partnership projects across the West of England, as well as nationally and internationally.
PK Khaira-Creswell, Director of the Forestry Commission’s Centenary Programme said, ’We are delighted to be part of the Natural History Consortium during our centenary year. We are in excellent company and very much look forward to sharing expertise, ideas and information with our fellow Consortium members and industry leaders. In celebrating 100 years of forestry in 2019, we are looking ahead to the forests of our future, inspiring the next generation of custodians of our woodland landscapes.’
Festival of Nature returns to the region from June 1st – 9th, 2019. Click here for further details about this year’s Festival of Nature.
