Buzz and Scuttle Outdoor Exhibition
When: Friday 10 – Saturday 18 June
Where: Royal Victoria Park play area, Marlborough Lane, Bath BA1 2NQ
Visit the exhibition display by artist Marian Hill at the play area in Royal Victoria Park throughout the Festival. Learn more about our local fascinating beetles and pollinators. How do they help us by clearing up waste and pests, and what minibeasts thrive on our ‘weeds’?

Den-building at Bath City Farm
When: Saturday 11 June 1 - 3pm
Where: Bath City Farm, Kelston View, Whiteway, Bath BA2 1NW
Build dens at Bath City Farm using junk materials and play games to learn about food webs, including where our food comes from and who is eating who. Come and see some of the farm animals and enjoy the views of Bath during your visit.
Get Fishing Awards Bronze and Silver sessions
When: Sunday 12 June 3 - 6pm
Where: Tucking Mill Cottages, Midford, Bath BA2 7DB
Come and try fishing and discover the wonders of angling! Whether you’re fishing for the first time, heading out for a day out with the family, or getting back into angling, fishing is a great way to get out there doing something different and teach kids new outdoor skills.

Buttercup meadow meditation

A guided experience in the meadows of bath city farm, bringing you closer to the ecology and beauty of the land as we near solstice. Through a practice in deep ecology mindfulness, you will move from the “knowing thinking mind” to the “experiencing mind” through the immediacy of the living world.

Gardening for wildlife at Sydney Gardens
When: Wednesday 15 June 2 - 4pm
Where: Sydney Gardens, Sydney Road, Bath BA2 6NT
Hands-on gardening training session with practical elements which will take place outdoors in Sydney Gardens. In this course we’ll identify which plants benefit insects and what we can do to encourage other wildlife including pollinators into the garden.

Summer meadows walk with Bathscape

A friendly wildlife conservation group with a focus to improve people’s mental wellbeing. You’ll be learning lots about wildlife and conservation. This is a small group aimed at improving low moods or stress through nature-based mindfulness. The sessions are led by experienced members of staff from Avon Wildlife Trust who will guide you through the various activities, giving demonstrations and individual support.

Nature at Night in Bath

As the sunsets on Bath, we’ll explore how the city comes alive after dark. Join the Festival of Nature, CPRE, Bath Astronomers, and wildlife experts for a nocturnal adventure of wildlife spotting and star gazing, as we discover the importance of darkness. Keep your eyes peeled for bats, moths, foxes and all the night time wildlife that calls Bath home!
