Family Friendly Events at Festival of Nature

Are you looking for a free day out with the kids? Go wild at one of the many family friendly nature events across the Festival of Nature programme.
FAMILY NATURE PARTY
When: Sunday 12 June 10 — 4pm
Where: Bristol Beacon, BS1 5AR
Family Nature Party is a free entry all-day event aimed at under 10’s. The day will include workshops, storytelling, music, arts and crafts, toddler sessions, games and inspiration for kids and parents to take action for nature and find out about the natural world.
The party will take place at Bristol Beacon from 10am-4pm, with lots of exciting organisations and community groups taking part.
There’ll be loads of interactive family friendly activity stalls to explore from Avon Wildlife Trust, Bristol Avon Rivers Trust, Bristol Rainforest, Greenpeace, Project Splatter, Sharks4Kids, University of Bristol, University of the West of England, We the Curious, and Woodland Trust.
DIVE INTO OCEAN NATURE AND CONSERVATION
When: Sunday 12 June 11 — 4pm
Where: Severnside Sub Aqua Club, The Old Stable Block Cambria Yard, Avon Crescent, Bristol BS1 6XQ
A fun family day exploring the wonderful marine life in UK waters, from tiny jewel anemones to magnificent large mammals! Come along and discover the beauty of, and the perils facing our Oceans and what you can do to enjoy and conserve them.
FAMILY GARDENING WORKSHOPS AT BLAISE PLANT NURSERY
When: Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June, 12 — 1pm
Where: Blaise Plant Nursery, Bristol, BS11 0XF
These interactive gardening workshops will get the whole family thinking about how to make your garden nature-friendly through interactive games, quizzes, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
FELIX ROAD ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND DROP-IN SESSION

MEET THE LEMURS! [ONLINE]
When: Wednesday 15 June 12.30 — 1pm
Meet the lemurs at Wild Place! Join us for a live behind the scenes interview with lemur keeper Joe Norman, and find out about saving lemurs in Madagascar with Zoo conservationist Sam Cotton.
BARTON HILL FAMILY DAY
When: Saturday 18 June 10 — 5pm
Where: Wellspring Settlement, Bristol BS5 0AX
Discover a whole world of exciting green science at the University of Bristol’s new community based micro-campus. Chat with our fantastic environmental researchers and get hands on with some cool experiments and interactive educational games. Explore our investigations into climate change, animal and plant life and see how you can help save our endangered world.
GROW WILDER TAKEOVER
