Taking Part is Easy

City Nature Challenge may have been and gone but you can still help Bristol and Bath show the world how amazing our region is for people and nature! Whether you took part in the challenge or not you can discover and record wildlife by using the iNaturalist app and your observations will count towards local, national and international efforts to learn about and protect our regions’ amazing wildlife.

How can you get involved?

1. Download the app for free from the AppStore or Google Play OR visit iNaturalist.org

2. Use the app to take photos of wildlife in your garden, school grounds, local park or anywhere else in the region (see map below). Perhaps you fancy a woodland walk? Check out the Woodland Trust’s handy guide to woodlands to make some records in a wood near you.

3. Have you seen wildlife that has amazed you? Let us know on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram by using the hashtag #FON18

City Nature Challenge took part across the Bristol & Bath City Region, which covers the Local Authority Areas of Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset. Wildlife sightings recorded within this area during City Nature Challenge counted towards our score in the international contest.
