Building a Wildlife Index in Bristol – Dr Chris Clements, Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol
5th May 2022
We spoke to Dr Chris Clements about the importance of data recording for understanding and protecting biodiversity in Bristol.
Dr Clements explains what wildlife recording research is currently taking place through the University of Bristol and School of Biological Sciences, and how it's crucial to learning where biodiversity is and how its changing, in order to then come up with strategies to flourish it and prevent further degradation.
In light of this research, Dr Clements discusses what people in Bristol can do to help wildlife recording efforts, and how that ties into the Bristol Ecological Emergency Strategy and its developing Wildlife Index.
Dr Chris Clements is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol, with research interests in ecology, conservation, resilience and biodiversity. Dr Clements teaches conservation biology and ecology to students.
