Tim Scoones

Tim Scoones is a biologist by training, a naturalist since he can remember and a passionate conservationist since he was 6.  Tim was an Executive Producer at the BBC Natural History Unit, making natural history TV and web for 25 years, and was one of the BBC’s pioneers in multi-platform broadcasting.  Tim is best known for leading Springwatch – and its various sister series – with their fully integrated, year-round web and social media presence, creating a strong and interactive relationship with audiences. Tim is now a freelance consultant in conservation, media innovation and public engagement, working with a range of conservation organisations including the Blue Marine Foundation and the Great British Oceans coalition, working on a range of campaigns, including #BackTheBlueBelt, #StopElectricFishing, #ProtectMaldivesSeagrass and #MarineParkPlym
