Roger Harrabin is an independent journalist / speaker / moderator, who pioneered environment and energy reporting for the BBC for more than three decades. He was founder-presenter of Radio 4s “Costing the Earth” programme. He has reported from scores of countries, and has often been first to highlight energy and environment innovations. He has interviewed leaders including Prime Ministers Thatcher, Blair and Johnson; US senator John Kerry; EU President Manual Barroso; and the CEOs of Shell, BP, Unilever and others. He was won many awards, and hosted conferences and delivered keynotes for organisations including the UN, the CBI, EBRD, The Economist, and the European Commission.

His work has been recognised by an honorary degree; visiting fellowships at Wolfson, Cambridge and Green Templeton College, Oxford – and a full honorary fellowship at St Catharine’s, Cambridge.

He currently writes, among others – for the Guardian, FT, Independent and BusinessGreen.  He is married with three adult children and four grand-children.
