Henrietta Hopkins is the Director of Hopkins Van Mil, the social research agency she co-founded in 2005. With over 20 years’ experience, Henrietta is an expert facilitator and deliberative process designer. She uses creative and innovative methodologies to design trusted, thoughtful, empathetic citizens’ participatory programmes, often rooted in co-designed approaches. She works closely with academics, specialists and policy makers to enable the sensitive evidence-based exploration of challenging and complex issues. Recent programmes led and designed by Henrietta in the environment and climate space include the NERC commissioned dialogue on contemporary issues in environmental science, the public dialogue for WWF for the Land of Plenty programme, the National Food Strategy public dialogue and most recently the dialogue for the Food Farming and Countryside Commission, the National Conversation about Food.  All of these programmes create an inclusive space for citizens’ to come together so that their voices are heard on the most important issues of our day.
