This session, led by Defra, provided an update on progress since the launch of A Green Future: Our 25 Year Plan to Improve the Environment, and a chance for delegates to help shape plans to ensure the 25 YEP is embedded not only across government but in also in the hearts and minds of individuals, communities and businesses to deliver an improved environment in 25 years.

Marsha Osivwemu

Marsha Osivwemu is Head of the 25 Year Environment Plan (YEP) delivery team. Marsha leads on ensuring the actions in plan are delivered and embedding the goals of the plan into the hearts and minds of Government and externally.  Marsha also has oversight of the year of green action 2019 and strategic relations with Kew, Natural England and JNCC.

Before joining Defra in January 2018, Marsha held a number of civil service jobs over her 15 year career, this includes working on major incident responses, European programmes and a number of strategic government projects.
