Alex is Head of Policy & Advocacy at the National Trust. With a background in audience research, policy and campaigns Alex has worked on a wide range of nature campaigns. From research and development of the National Trust’s “50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾” to collaborative research on the power of everyday acts of ‘noticing nature’ for wellbeing and pro-nature behaviours, Alex’s work has been focussed on the integration between research, communications, campaigns, policy and political advocacy to shape positive change for nature and people. Alex leads a team of policy and political engagement specialists and has recently been involved with work to convene the People’s Assembly for Nature. Alex is also a Trustee for the charity Whale and Dolphin Conservation.
