Drew Bennellick

Drew joined the National Lottery Heritage Fund in 2009 and sits within the Business Insight and Innovation Department alongside similar posts relating to museums/archives, the built environment and digital. As Head of Land and Nature Policy UK, Drew’s role is to provide policy and strategic expert advice to Trustees, Committees and staff in relation to everything from public parks and gardens, to habitat and nature conservation, and from the countryside to the marine environment.  Within the National Lottery Heritage Fund Drew has led the Parks for People and Landscape Partnership investment programmes which jointly invested over £1billion and led creation of the Rethinking Parks joint programme with innovation charity Nesta.  Most recently Drew has been working with the National Trust to create and build the new Future Parks Accelerator joint venture, which aims to transform the way urban green spaces are funded and managed, and which is currently in delivery.

Drew is a chartered landscape architect with experience of both the commercial and public sectors. Before moving to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Drew was Deputy Director of English Heritage’s London Region dealing with regional policy development and building partnerships with key organisations.
