What pesticides might be lurking at the back of your shed, garage or under the kitchen sink? Help protect nature in your neighbourhood and dispose of unwanted pesticides by joining in England’s first pesticide amnesty!
On the 23rd and 24th October, two pop up events will encourage Bristol residents to take part in reducing the harmful pesticides impacting on the health of wildlife, green spaces and even people!
The end of the growing season is a great time for a balcony, shed or garage clear out, and in exchange for your container, the first 500 people will get a “swap pack” filled with great ideas to help you reduce or eliminate pesticide use at home and in the garden.
To take part simply bring your unwanted pesticides to these events and discover the alternatives that can be used, where to find them and top tips on wildlife friendly gardening. Your pesticides will also add to a citizen science project, exploring long-term soil monitoring and planning for the city.
So join us! Drop by our events at Redcatch Park, BS4 2RF on 23rd or at Blaise Plant Nursery, BS11 0XF on 24th and support wildlife in Bristol!
