Bristol Bright Night Schools’ Day 2015

25th September, 11:00 to 14:30

We had 177 school children join us at the Researchers’ Fair for 2015, the Schools’ Day was open to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 2 classes.

Bristol Bright Night celebrates the diversity of research that takes place across our city, inspiring young people to consider their own ideas and encourage them to explore possible careers into research.

The Research Fair offered:

  • Inspiration for making decisions about GCSE and further studies
  • The opportunity to explore real research in science
  • Exciting examples of science application

School groups had an opportunity to talk to some of the people behind some cutting-edge research and find out what they are working on.  A variety of research was available to students such as:

  • Bugs that glow in the dark
  • The hidden world of ultra sound
  • Incredible robots
  • And much, much more!

Bristol Bright Night was part of a prestigious, large-scale European event which has been brought to the city by Bristol Natural History Consortium, University of Bristol and University of the West of England.
