21st May 2016
Dale Fort Field Centre, Dale, Pembrokeshire SA62 3RD
Become a wildlife explorer for a day and discover what’s living right on your doorstep by joining in at your local BioBlitz event. Our team of experienced naturalists and wildlife watchers need your help to find and identify as many different species of birds, bugs, plants and beasties as we can before the clock runs out. Just like a real scientific expedition, everything we find will be documented and passed on to local and national databases that monitor our local wildlife. With interactive activities for kids, grown-ups, beginners and experts alike there is something for everyone at a BioBlitz.
At Rocky Shore Bioblitz you can explore the amazing Rocky Shores below Dale Fort Field Centre as we encourage participants at the 4th Dale Fort Marine Research Symposium to share or improve their ID skills
Drop in and see us on the day by meeting at Dale Fort gates at 11am or to attend the whole Symposium (9am to 6pm) and to register and find out more go to http://www.field-studies-council.org/centres/dalefort/marine-research-symposium.aspx for some amazing activities including:
Learn how to ID and record rocky shore organisms and if you attend whole symposium listen to talks on a range of exciting marine topics. You will need to register and pay to attend the Symposium itself.
