Leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus is the major sponsor of the National BioBlitz programme in the UK. This support in this, the International Year of Biodiversity, forms part of Airbus' wider commitment to biodiversity projects. These include the UN Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity’s Green Wave initiative, designed to educate young people about the importance of biodiversity and the consequences of its loss.
