Section 2 – About your organisation

The information given below is for our records only. Please fill in all sections below.

Section 3 – About your event

The information given below will be used for the online event listings and other promotional materials

• Name of the organisation running the event
• Name of event (for example fungi foray or rock pool ramble) and brief description. (Max 40 words)
• Date(s) and time(s) of event
• Where will it be held? (Please give exact location, including postcode, with meeting place if appropriate, access details such as public transport/parking and any special notes).
• Anything else of interest – for example are you expecting to find any rare/exciting species? Are you taking a different approach to wildlife, perhaps using art?
• Contact phone number or email address and website to go to for members of the public to find out more information on the event.

Section 4 – More about your event and how we can help you

This information will help us decide how best we can work with you to promote your event and get more people hearing about it and joining in with Meet the Species.

• Who is your event aimed at? (For example age groups, specialist interests and so on).
• How many people do you hope to attend?
• How will you tell people about your event and promote it?
• Do you have any local wildlife experts involved? If not we can help to put you in touch with someone who could come to your event. Yes No
• Are you already in touch with your local records centre? (They keep information on species in your area and will be interested in hearing about the species you survey during your event). Yes No

Section 5 - Sharing data

An accredited event for Meet the Species needs to collect information – we will supply a downloadable form for you to use out in the field and an electronic template that can be sent back to us after your event.

We also need you to share the information collected with your local records centre and / or other recording organisations. This is very simple and straightforward and we’ll give you all the information you need to do this in the toolkit.

We need to report on our MTS activity across the UK in 2012 and would be very grateful if you could fill in a short feedback form and return to use at the end of your event. This feedback form is in the toolkit we supply.

• You agree to share your data with your local records centre and /or other relevant recording organisations as well as us?
• You are happy to monitor your event using the forms provided?
