Volunteering opportunities at the Bristol Natural History Consortium

Are you looking for real experience communicating environmental issues to the public, running large-scale public events, field studies and BioBlitz events?

Each year we support over 200 volunteers who want practical experience, a career change, a subject for an academic paper or thesis, or just a way to get involved in the city.

In 2010 we're running a National Volunteering Project through our BioBlitz programme and there is more information here.

We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic volunteers for a Bioblitz type event taking place at the Filton Airbus site as part of their Family Fun Day.  The event will be happening on the 18th September from 9-5pm and lunch and transport to and from the site will be provided. It will be a fun event involving volunteers, naturalists, wildlife enthusiasts, students and Airbus employees and families all working together to find and learn about as many different species as possible around the airfield.

If you would like to volunteer please sign up here: http://www.survey.bris.ac.uk/bnhc/filton/
