Pete the Bug Man


Pete The Bug Man

Pete will be roaming the site throughout the weekend with his Big Bug Bag, introducing audiences to his collection of giant insects, spiders, millepedes and more. This trained Ecologist has kept animals privately and professionally for the last 30 years and has spent many years working in the conservation sector in South West England. Pete’s understanding of natural history has lead to him working on a number of programmes for the BBC Natural History Unit including "Springwatch" and "The Nature Of Britain".  Easton Community Choir

Easton Community Choir is a fun, friendly and vibrant mixed a community cappella choir based in Bristol, and is directed by its leader, Sheila Tang.The choir’s repertoire is varied, ranging from stirring Eastern European harmonies, Maori, jubilant African, uplifting gospel as well as traditional folk and pop from our own culture.Check them out here!

 

 

Eric Arthur

Eric Arthur is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of the foremost interpreters of New Orleans blues piano in the West Country and is renowned for his many recent appearances at the Old Duke and with the Bristol band Bucucrasu. This New Orleans jazz pianist creates grooves steeped in the influences of Professor Longhair, James Booker and Dr John, with rhumba-boogie, funk shuffle, gospelized blues and classical all featuring in his varied repertoire. Nicky Swann 

Nicky Swann is the very best of the new generation of female singer-songwriters. This powerful, original and versatile singer has achieved critical acclaim with sublime original songs that are rooted in Americana traditions but can just as easily encompass cool summer jazz, rock ‘n’ roll, and folksy ballads. Her first CD  'Matches and Dispatches' received ecstatic reviews in 2010 and she is now releasing her second album "How Does Your Land Lie?" a collection of eleven songs inspired by the history of Nicky's home town, Newton Abbot in South Devon.
