In 2013 the Festival of Nature is being supported by the British Ecological Society as part of the Society's centenary Festival of Ecology. The British Ecological Society is the UK's learned society for ecology and the oldest ecological society in the world. The Festival of Ecology will be held from 15 June - 4 August 2013, and the BES is working in partnership with over 60 organisations to celebrate the science of ecology through public events for adults, schools and families. Bristol Water has supported the Festival of Nature for a number of years, and will be a major sponsor in 2013. Visit the Bristol Water stall on site to find out more about how you can save water, or add to the wildlife mural in the Arts Tent, for display at the new bird hide at Chew Valley Lake In 2013, IOP Publishing will again be providing in-kind design support for the Festival of Nature. IOP Publishing is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Institute of Physics. The Institute is a leading scientific society promoting physics and bringing physicists together for the benefit of all. It has a worldwide membership of around 40,000 comprising physicists from all sectors. It works to advance physics research, application and education, and engages with policy makers and the public to develop awareness and understanding of physics. Any profits generated by the publishing company are used by the Institute to support science and scientists in both the developed and developing world. At-Bristol is generously hosting the Festival of Nature across Anchor and Millennium Square. Clifton College has sponsored the Festival of Nature Schools' Day since 2010, and will be doing so again in 2013. Space Engineering Services are sponsoring the Festival of Nature launch party for the first time in 2013. Space Engineering Services deliver nationwide refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical and electrical, energy and facilities management services, and are celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2013. The Company of Biologists are supporting public engagement activities with cutting edge biological research in the University of Bristol tent at the Festival of Nature. The Company of Biologists is a not-for-profit publisher and UK charity. Established in 1925, The Company aims to promote research and study across all branches of biology. The Company publishes three internationally renowned, established journals: Development, Journal of Cell Science and The Journal of Experimental Biology, as well as two newer Open Access journals: Disease Models & Mechanisms (DMM) and Biology Open (BiO). M Shed, Bristol's flagship Museum telling the history and the story of the city, is hosting the Festival of Nature launch party on Friday 14th June. Burleigh Portishead print the promotional materials for the Festival of Nature using carbon balanced paper.
