Volunteering Opportunities
We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic volunteers for a Bioblitz type event taking place at the Filton Airbus site as part of their Family Fun Day. The event will be happening on the 18th September from 9-5pm and lunch and transport to and from the site will be provided. It will be a fun event involving volunteers, naturalists, wildlife enthusiasts, students and Airbus employees and families all working together to find and learn about as many different species as possible around the airfield.

BioBlitz Events Are Educational
Alan Wright from the Lancashire Wildlife Trust who was recently involved in organising the Lancashire BioBlitz has written an online article about how BioBlitzes are great educational tools for young children who can interact with nature while learning from Naturalists. BioBlitz Conference at Communicate

As part of the Bristol Natural History Consortium's annual environmental communication conference, Communicate, this year we are going to be organising the first ever Bioblitz Conference. It will take place alongside Communicate on the 3rd of November at the Council House in Bristol. This should be a platform for discussion, workshops and presentations on all things Bioblitz and will hopefully help shape the future for these fantastic events. And to aid its success we want YOU! No matter what your involvement with Bioblitz if you have any topics or suggestions for what you believe should be discussed then please get in touch and we will take them on board. Any feedback is always appreciated!
