Volunteers are a key part of a BioBlitz event helping out across a variety of activities from stewarding to photography, blogging to assisting naturalists and engaging with school groups. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors and get involved in conservation and citizen science. Find your nearest event and contact them about volunteering.

Whether you are a professional wildlife researcher, conservation worker, surveyor or experienced amateur naturalist, BioBlitz events depend heavily on sharing the expertise and identification skills of naturalists with school groups, members of the public and each other. How do I get involved?

Every event is different so we reccomend that you simply find your nearest BioBlitz in our directory of events and contact the organisers directly with your name, email address, phone number and why you want to get involved in their BioBlitz. Some smaller events may only have the capacity to take on a few volunteers so it's best to get in quick to avoid dissappointment.
