Taking Part is Easy

Help Bristol and Bath show the world how amazing our region is for people and nature by joining in an epic contest: to discover and record as much wildlife as possible over 4 days. Your observations count towards local, national and international efforts to learn about and protect our regions’ amazing wildlife.

How can you get involved?

1. Download the app for free from the AppStore or Google Play OR visit iNaturalist.org

2. Sign in and join the City Nature Challenge 2018: Bristol & Bath project

3. Use the app to take photos of wildlife in your garden, school grounds, local park or anywhere else in the region (see map below). Perhaps you fancy a woodland walk? Check out the Woodland Trust’s handy guide to woodlands to make some records in a wood near you

4. Remember to submit records between 27-30 April so that they count towards the final tally! Use this handy guide to iNaturalist for help with submitting records.

The Bristol & Bath City Region Covers the Local Authority Areas of Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset. Wildlife sightings recorded within this area during City Nature Challenge will count towards our score in the international contest.
