Russ Moody

Russ has been working in the arena of Public Health since 2001 across a wide range of health & wellbeing themes but with a consistent focus on Tobacco Control and Smoking Cessation over that time. With a masters (MBA) from the University of Stirling, Russ also has a specialist interest in Social Marketing & Behaviour Change. As such, Russ works closely with the Public Health England marketing team in the facilitation of national ‘health improvement, behaviour change’ campaigns in a regional context.

Russ currently works as the  ‘Health & Wellbeing Programme Lead’ as part of the Health and Wellbeing Team based in PHE SW Totnes. This is a leadership role that builds on evidenced based Public Health, drawing together knowledge of health improvement and general management, to facilitate and support the local Public Health system with an aim to drive improvements in health outcomes and reduce health inequalities. Russ works to support local government, NHS England, health commissioning bodies and other partners in meeting the promotion of health and wellbeing and progression of the ‘Health Improvement’ agenda, preventing ill health and promoting healthy living for all.
