2nd July 2017
Sheffield Park, TN22 3QX

Become a wildlife explorer for a day and discover what’s living right on your doorstep by joining in at your local BioBlitz event. Our team of experienced naturalists and wildlife watchers need your help to find and identify as many different species of birds, bugs, plants and beasties as we can before the clock runs out. Just like a real scientific expedition, everything we find will be documented and passed on to local and national databases that monitor our local wildlife. With interactive activities for kids, grown-ups, beginners and experts alike there is something for everyone at a BioBlitz.

Getting here

On foot: We are accessible on foot from the Bluebell Railway. A footpath is clearly signed up from the A275 to the garden through the parkland, which is a 10-15 minute walk. We are also adjacent to the Ouse Valley Way public footpath which runs along much of the River Ouse from Nymans Garden to Lewes.

By train: Sheffield Park (Bluebell Railway) ¾ mile; Uckfield 6 miles; Haywards Heath 7 miles

By road: We are located midway between East Grinstead and Lewes, 5 miles north-west of Uckfield, on the east side of A275 (between A272 and A22). If approaching north-bound from Lewes, we are just past the Bluebell Railway, over the River Ouse bridge on the right. Coming south-bound from the A22 Wych Cross, follow the brown signs for Sheffield Park and the Bluebell Railway

Partly accessible – Floodplain located at the bottom of the parkland, accessible along grass paths.
